East Marsh United (EMU) was established in 2017 and is a community group from the East Marsh of Grimsby, dedicated to transforming where we live for the better. This is our neighbourhood – we’re working out how it develops and grows. We’re seeking out practical solutions to the problems we face, doing everything we can to keep our residents happy, our houses safe and our streets clean.
Are you a financial whiz with a strategic mind?
We are looking for a Financial Manager to help us manage and develop our existing work, exercising a broad range of skills to take charge of our financial management and crucially support the growth of income and investment for East Marsh United – and the continued growth of the East Marsh.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Overseeing all aspects of our financial operations, from budgeting and forecasting to meticulous record-keeping.
- Partnering with leadership to provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, keeping stakeholders informed and compliant.
- Managing cash flow, optimizing working capital, and identifying opportunities for cost-efficiency.
- Staying ahead of the curve on financial trends and regulations.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Possesses a degree in accounting or finance (or equivalent experience).
- Has a minimum of 3 years of experience in a finance management role.
- Is proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) plus Google Workplace (especially Sheets).
- Has a keen eye for detail and a talent for financial analysis.
- Boasts excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and synthesise complex information..
- Is a strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
