The Long Forty Years changed working class communities out of all recognition. A period that includes the Thatcher Revolution, the New Labour era, followed by a period dominated by austerity and Brexit, culminated in Boris Johnson’s breach of the Red Wall in 2019. Many people are vaguely aware of these changes; few will have seen them as a continuous process.
Sharing your views and experiences, as well as those of your family and friends, will help to make sense of the years since 1979, at the same time creating a valuable and unique resource of memorabilia, including writings, photos, stories, poems, and videos.
