The Carer’s Support Service

A Carer is someone of any age who provides necessary care to a child, relative, partner or friend in need of help because they have an illness (including mental illness), disability, frailty or substance misuse problem. They care they provide may be personal, emotional or supervisory and is unpaid.

The Carers’ Support Service provides:

  • Information and advice
  • A named support worker
  • Benefit, debt and housing advice
  • Carers groups
  • Assess to recreational activities
  • Befriending
  • Counselling
  • Advocacy
  • Training
  • Relaxation
  • Support for up to two years after the caring ends
  • Volunteer opportunities

Open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 8am until 5pm, with an out of hours telephone service between 5pm and 7pm.

Open Thursday 8am until 7pm and Saturday 10am until 2pm.

Out of hours telephone service Sunday between 10am and 2pm.
