The East Marsh United team are heartbroken to share the loss of our dear friend and tenant, Clare, who recently passed away following a brave battle with cancer.
Clare died peacefully at home, just as she wished, surrounded by the people she loved most – her devoted husband Mark and her seven wonderful children: Leo, Thomas, Blake, Lola, Logan, Jake and Bella-Rose. Even through the most difficult times, Clare showed incredible strength, warmth and resilience, always carrying herself with a smile that touched everyone around her.
Clare was a much-loved part of the East Marsh community. A dedicated wife, a fiercely loving mother and a supportive sister and friend, she made a lasting impact on so many lives. Her loss is deeply felt across the community, and she will be remembered with great affection.
Clare’s Journey and Her Legacy
Clare was first diagnosed with cancer in 2023. With the unwavering support of her family and friends, she faced her diagnosis with determination and courage, and was given the uplifting news that she was cancer-free. Sadly, this was not to last, and last year the cancer returned with a terminal prognosis.
Despite this, Clare’s strength never wavered. She focused on what mattered most – spending precious time with her family and creating lasting memories for her children. She also remained committed to helping others, using her experience to raise awareness about the importance of early testing and the vital support available to families facing cancer.
Supporting the Family She Loved
Clare leaves behind a loving family who are now facing life without her. As a community, we want to come together to support Mark and the children during this incredibly difficult time and help ease some of the financial pressures they now face.
A fund has been set up to support the family in two key ways:
- Funeral costs, helping to give Clare the dignified and heartfelt farewell she deserves.
- Ongoing support for Mark and the children, offering some stability and comfort as they adjust to life without Clare.
